Get to Know Jennifer, the Founder of Our Shop Partner, The Nesting House!
We are thrilled to add Nesting House onto the Bloc community. They were created with the intention of being able to provide a space that allows shoppers to purchase "high-quality, used goods at prices that are as cheap or cheaper than at big box stores". Through this "boutique" experience, customers can feel good about bringing new life to items that would have ended up in a landfill.

🤗 When you're not at your shop what do you like to do❓
We are outdoors, hiking, gardening, fresh water swimming, hanging out with neighbors. If indoors, mostly cooking, reading or playing games.
🏙 Now that things are starting to open back up, what are you looking forward to with your business❓
We are excited to be back open, and our new condensed model (only 1 store), allows us to provide a better experience, better product lines and more informed services. We are excited to do what we do, just better.
👋 What's a fun fact that people would be surprised to know about you❓
This business was an accident! My concern for the environment and socially conscious goods, paired with an awesome community that was happy to gather and trade just seemed to come together like magic.
🧀 Tell us a favorite story from during your time at your shop!
Sooo many to just share just one. I love to watch the spontaneous social gatherings and community building that happens naturally in our space.
🚲 How do you think Bloc will help your business❓
Bloc will help us connect with people that are a little further away, just need a few things, but can’t make the drive.
🏘 Where do you live and what do you love about your neighborhood❓
I love that the people that I live around look out for one another, get to know each other’s kids, and will help each other if needed.
🧡 What is your wish for your community❓
My wish is that they continue to listen to each other and learn from each other. I also hope that any alienation or social isolation that has happened is able to be opened up and broken down so we can move towards healing together.
