Your Guide to Celebrate the 4th of July!

The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, restrictions are being lifted, it definitely feels like a great summer is now upon us. We don't know about you but Bloc is super excited the city of Philadelphia has begun rolling out a variety of events for those looking to get outdoors and begin reconnecting with their loved ones again this summer.

We're happy to keep you updated on different events going on around the city all summer long. For starters, here's some fun and mostly FREE options to consider as you're making your plans with your loved ones outdoors for 4th of July weekend!

July 4th at the Betsy Ross House

JULY 4TH, 2021 | 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

"Celebrate America’s birthday at the birthplace of the American flag! The Betsy Ross House is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 4 and all visitors will receive a free mini 13-star flag. Don’t miss the last chance to see … and snap a selfie with … our one-of-a-kind M&M’s® flag made from more than 26,000 candies! And of course, meet Betsy Ross in person and learn all about her memorable role in the birth of our nation."

Red, White and Blue BBQ Bash at Peddler’s Village
JULY 4TH, 2021 | 12:00 AM - 5:00 PM

"Come out for our classic barbecue picnic at Peddler's Village! From 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM, we'll be serving up all-American grilled favorites and featuring live music, family entertainment, and kids' activities."

Independence Day with Free Admission at the National Constitution Center

JULY 4TH, 2021 | 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

“Join the National Constitution Center for an array of patriotic festivities surrounding Independence Day, including the interactive Independence Day show, which explores the history of the Declaration of Independence and how the definition of “We the People” has expanded since Thomas Jefferson penned the famous words “…all men are created equal…” in 1776. More family-friendly programs include craft activities, trivia games, and more!
Museum admission will be FREE on Sunday, July 4, in honor of Independence Day.”

Pay-What-You-Wish Admission at the Philadelphia Museum of Art
JULY 4TH, 2021 | 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

"One of the nation’s largest art museums rises majestically at the end of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, housing vast collections of Renaissance, American and impressionist art, as well as new and refurbished spaces and galleries designed by Frank Gehry that just opened in May 2021. Make an advance reservation online to pay what you wish to visit this Philadelphia treasure on Independence Day, then stick around on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to catch the July Fourth fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. "

Wawa Welcome America July 4th Concert
JULY 4TH, 2021 | 7:00 PM - 9:45 PM

“The legendary July 4th Concert returns starring Bebe Rexha, featuring Flo Rida, and a special performance by Cam Anthony with the Philly POPS all on the Independence Blue Cross Stage at Mann Center for the Performing Arts for the first time ever. General admission and lawn access will be available for in-person guests and the concert will be broadcast live on NBC10 and TeleXitos.”

Finally, you can end your day with the grand finale, Wawa Welcome America Fireworks Spectacular.
JULY 4TH, 2021 | 9:45 PM - 10:00 PM

"Courtesy of Wawa, the tradition of July 4th fireworks returns to the iconic Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Beginning at 8 p.m., guests are welcome to gather from Eakins Oval to Logan Circle to enjoy this rousing and patriotic festival grand finale. The official fireworks soundtrack will air on The Breeze 106.1 FM. The complete fireworks spectacular will be broadcast live on NBC10 and TeleXitos."
